Machinist I-III

Summary:
AirBorn Inc, a 100% employee owned electronic connector manufacturing company, is looking for a Machinist I-III to work in our Addison facility. This position will be responsible for operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate components. In addition to regular job duties responsibilities may include training, directing work, ensuring compliance with work procedures and providing corrective instructions. Keeps Management advised about production, equipment and personnel matters.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
  • Must have a minimum of two years screw machine experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer programs.
  • Some data entry skills.
