StrataFLEX, a division of AirBorn, will control the complete assembly bill of materials (BOM) for customers, including purchasing of all components.  Suppliers’ shipments are monitored for on time delivery, and quality.  This information is reported monthly and can be shared with customers for assistance in future vendor selection.   Strataflex collaborates with customers to ensure components are purchased in the optimum lot size to ensure the best price without a risk of stocking excess or obsolete components.  When possible, annual contracts are entered into to further optimize component pricing and inventory flexibility.

Incoming Inspection

We inspect every shipment to insure the correct part number and revision are received.  Additional incoming inspection services are offered including functional test, and leak testing.

Component Traceability

When required, we will ensure that components are only purchased from authorized sources, and work with customers to ensure records are kept for as long as required – especially important in the medical industry.

EOL Components

We monitor parts for End Of Life (EOL) and inform customers of upcoming EOL components – giving customers the option to change out the component or make a large one time purchase while the component is still in production – which is especially important to customers with long life programs like in the medical and military/aerospace industries.  In many cases we will make the EOL purchase of enough inventories for the life of the program and maintain this stock for customers.
