AirBorn’s Lake City, PA facility Earns MIL-DLT-83513 Qualified Product Listing Designation

AirBorn earns MIL-DTL-M83513 QPL Listing
LAKE CITY, PA
(Aug. 29, 2019) AirBorn, Inc., an employee-owned manufacturer of mission critical electronics, announced Monday its Lake City, PA. location, has been approved by the Defense Logistics Agency to produce MIL-DTL-83513 product.

The rugged Micro D connectors, which meet military specification MIL-DTL-83513, are used in a variety of military applications ranging from critical onboard computer systems amid fighter jets to advanced communications devices for troops on the ground.

The QPL listing means AirBorn’s Lake City location is a recognized manufacturer of products meeting military specifications as well as AirBorn and its authorized distributors are approved sources for government procurement. Micro D connectors manufactured in AirBorn’s Georgetown, Texas location were already included in the Defense Logistic Agency’s Qualified Product List.

“Expanding AirBorn’s M83513 QPL to include our Lake City facility in addition to Georgetown provides additional capacity for this Mil Spec qualified product and other AirBorn products where customers require M83153 qualification,” AirBorn Chief Compliance Officer Chris Wegmann explained. “AirBorn continually strives to expand capacity and capabilities to meet our customers’ demand for these rugged, mission-critical parts.”

AirBorn holds additional QPL status for MIL-DTL-32139 Nano connectors and MIL-DTL-55302 rectangular connectors. Customers can find a full military part number cross reference on the AirBorn website.
